THE SHOP IS OPEN AT COURTYARD.TV
Farnham, 19 November 2003
Courtyard
Electronics
has opened a
new website to allow online purchases of its products.
www.courtyard.tv not only provides commercial interaction but
also access to free trial offers. This complements Courtyard’s
established website, www.courtyard.co.uk, that continues to
provide information about all the Courtyard range.
The first
item for sale on the new site is Courtyard’s ‘SoftClock’ NLE
Clock that provides PC-based nonlinear edit systems with a fully
customisable countdown clock and ID information. This is
Courtyard’s first venture into pure software products and it has
been the spur for setting up the new website. Besides the
purchasing it is also possible to find out more in-depth detail
about SoftClock before buying as, in addition to the product
descriptions there is a free download of a trail version.
Steve Cranny,
Sales Director comments, “We have been interested in offering
online sales for some time and SoftClock was the ideal
opportunity to kick it off. Customers get some real benefit as
they can try before they buy.” Cranny continues, “Long-term the
aim is to offer all our range this way to complement our normal
sales activities so customers can choose whichever method suites
them best.”
About
SoftClock
Long known for its
industry-standard hardware VT Clock, Courtyard have now produced
SoftClock, a software version dedicated for nonlinear editing.
It addresses the need of thousands of editors working on PC
platforms wanting a clock for their leader/countdown.
SoftClock runs as a separate PC
application that creates the countdown leader ‘VT clock’ and
saves it as a sequence of TGA/JPEG files or as an AVI file. The
sequence is then easily imported into NLE applications for
inclusion on the timeline. SoftClock’s appearance is
personalised by simply including company or client logos,
contact details and also has a scratch pad area for noting
current job information.
