COURTYARD’S NEW MULTIFORMAT SPG HITS HD BUTTON Farnham, 05 September 2005 Since its launch at IBC2004 Courtyard’s CY490 multiformat SPG and test pattern generator has enjoyed considerable success, with over 100 units already delivered and many more on order. Courtyard’s Steve Cranny said “I’m very pleased. With the industry at a crossover point we wanted to offer a product which could support analogue, standard definition SDI and high definition SDI. The CY490 does it so well and a good number of our customers have already taken HD tri-level sync and test pattern options. Those who did not can be confident that they can always upgrade to standard and/or high definition SDI. Having LTC and VITC outputs are an added no cost bonus from the standard CY490.” Users in all areas of broadcast are now using the CY490. In the OB world users like Neon Broadcast have chosen the CY490 for their new multiformat vehicle. Reuters Television also chose the CY490 as the master SPG and test signal generator for their move to new premises.
